Local Spotlight: Saint James Public House
Restaurant veterans Timmy McCarthy and George Green had a vision for the newly-opened Saint James Public House. They were looking to give Saint James a place with "good food, good beer, a good wine selection, and a good Happy Hour." All of that came together, and The St. James Public House was designed. When you walk into the place, you immediately get a comfortable, warm feeling. It's almost rustic, with its wood and brick walls, and pub that drops down into the restaurant area.
Their menu features a broad range of "American Comfort" foods, and the portions are generous! It will take you a while just to decide what you want to order, and for a good reason! Our favorites are the Asian Duck Wings and the Handmade Baked Macaroni & Cheese (choose from Lobster & Shrimp, Tex-Mex, Buffalo Chicken, or Applewood Bacon).
St. James Public House has a great Happy Hour at their bar every Monday through Saturday, from 3pm-7pm. Not only are their house wines, domestic tap beers, and drinks reasonably priced, they have a wonderful menu of bar food to go along with your drinks! We highly recommend their Public House Potato Skins and their Jumbo Pretzel (which really is JUMBO!). We also love the Guinness Shepherd's Pie and the Public House Burger.
Saint James Public House is a perfect place to host a party. Their private room upstairs hosts up to 60 guests, and their servers are more than welcoming and help make your event one to remember.
